Essex Cricket is proud to announce a special collaboration with national charity Help for Heroes, in partnership with our Principal Partner, Ambassador Cruise Line.
As part of this landmark initiative, our front-of-shirt sponsor, Ambassador Cruise Line, has generously donated their branding rights for two upcoming Metro Bank One Day Cup matches, and placing Help for Heroes front and centre of our playing shirts.

The two Help for Heroes dedicated fixtures are:
• Sunday 24 August (11am): Metro Bank One Day Cup – Essex Men v Gloucestershire Men
• Thursday 04 September (10:30am): Metro Bank One Day Cup Essex Women v Hampshire Women
This unique gesture will see Help for Heroes take over the front of the Essex Cricket shirt for both fixtures, replacing the iconic purple with a bespoke Help for Heroes design. The limited-edition shirt is now available for pre-order via the Essex Cricket Store, with 50% of the proceeds from every sale going directly to the charity’s vital work supporting veterans and their families.
To further support the initiative, the Club’s Official Clothing Partner, Surridge, have generously donated the players’ match shirts for both the men’s and women’s squads. These player-worn shirts will be auctioned off after the games, with all proceeds going directly to Help for Heroes.
The initiative forms part of a wider commitment from Ambassador Cruise Line, who have been in partnership with Help for Heroes since March 2024. As part of this relationship, the cruise line hosts fundraising events, competitions, and wellbeing-focused activities, while also offering exclusive cruise access for veterans to help aid recovery and community integration.
Help for Heroes is a UK-based charity that supports veterans and their families from all branches of the Armed Forces. Since its founding, the charity has provided life-changing support to more than 30,000 individuals, offering recovery services, physical and mental health support, and career guidance, ensuring those who served are never left behind.
