
Stars of London’s West End perform an evening of Abba at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground on Saturday 16 August.
We look forward to welcoming guests old and new to the home of Essex County Cricket Club this weekend.
This is an all-ticket event and if you have digital tickets, please ensure they are downloaded to the ‘ECCC Wallet’ app ahead of your arrival.
Tickets will be available on the gates from 5pm, priced from £15 Adults and £10 Juniors (U18s) but please note that only card payments are accepted. Or you can still purchase tickets in advance.

Gate Opening Times
Gates will open at 5pm and spectators can enter the ground via the Main Entrance on New Writtle Street or the Tees River Gate, located via Sky Blue Pastures, which is the closest entrance to Chelmsford City Centre and the Bus and Train stations.
Spectators are advised to arrive early to allow ample time to enter the ground. Bag checks will be in operation on entry to the ground.
Wristband Access
Spectators who have purchased Premium Access, Balcony Access or access to the Woodland Group stand will be required to claim a wristband on entering the ground.
The Wristband Collection point will be situated behind the Woodland Group Stand.
All spectators will be able to access the performance area on the field but will require the correct wristband to enter their chosen upgrade area.
Getting into the Ground
There are two entrances into the ground. You can enter via the Main Entrance on New Writtle Street (CM2 0PG), or via the Tees River Gate which is a pedestrian entrance via Sky Blue Pastures. You can enter Sky Blue Pastures from Parkway.
Travelling to the Ground
Parking
Spectators travelling by car will need to locate a public car park in the proximity of the ground as there is no available on-site parking at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground.
The High Chelmer multi-storey and Moulsham Street car parks are the closest public car parks to the ground. You can view opening hours and tariffs for city centre public car parks by clicking here.
The Essex Cricket Meteor Way Member car park is not available for this event.
Public Transport
Chelmsford Bus Station is situated on Duke Street, next to Chelmsford Train Station, with connections across the county. Alternatively, bus numbers 13, 46 and C1 shuttles, stop on New London Road, which is approximate two-minute walk to the Ground, via New Writtle Street.
Chelmsford Railway Station, managed by Greater Anglia, is a 10-minute stroll from the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground. Direct train services depart regularly from Chelmsford to London, Stratford, Shenfield, Romford, Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich. Chelmsford is situated on the Liverpool Street to Norwich mainline.
There are no scheduled engineering works in the Chelmsford area during this event. There are some scheduled late night engineering works in the Colchester and Clacton area. Please check your travel arrangements before you travel.

Event Purchases
The Ambassador Cruise Line Ground is a cashless ground, which includes all food and drink purchases in the Doug Insole Pavilion, Scrutton Bland Premier Suite and concourse areas.
Accessible Parking
There is limited accessible car parking spaces are located at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that these cannot be pre-booked before visiting to provide an equal opportunity for all attendees.
Accessible Facilities
The accessible toilets are located at the rear of the Doug Insole Pavilion. There will also be a mobile changing places facility available.
You’ll find the Changing Places Room located in front of the Price Forbes Graham Gooch Cricket Centre. Please ask your nearest steward if you need assistance using this facility.
General Admittance
Supporters who have purchased digital tickets can enter the ground by scanning the valid ticket once added to the ‘ECCC Wallet’. Instructions on how to access the app is included at the ticket purchase stage and can be downloaded via the App Store or Google Store and please download your tickets before arriving at the ground.
Make sure you have your ticket available on your phone so it is easily accessible for ticket scanning on arrival. Please do not take a ‘screen grab’ of your tickets as that will not be read by the scanners and you may be refused entry.
Tickets can be transferred to friends and family who also have the app to make entry quicker and easier. Follow the instructions within the app for an easy transfer around your group.
Around the Ground
Public Wi-Fi is available at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground during the event giving you the opportunity to share photos and videos of your experience.
Simply logon to ‘EC-Public’ to access free public Wi-Fi.

Food & Drink
Zambrero – The popular high street restaurant joins us for the event. Grab a burrito or wrap before dancing the night away.
The Greek Boys – Serving fresh Greek gyros and fries ready to fuel your evening of singing!
Ice Cream Van – An Ice Cream van will be available on the concourse throughout the evening.
The Level Head Bar and 152 Bar is situated behind the Doug Insole Pavilion and offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Can & Go Bar situated in the low level hospitality area. Get a quick top-up without leaving the performance area!
The Pavilion Bar will be open to Premium Ticket Buyers only, selling a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks as well as bar snacks.
The Premier Suite Bar will be open for Premium Balcony Ticket buyers only.
Spectators are not permitted to bring alcohol into the ground for this fixture. However, food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed providing there is no glass or sharp objects such as cutlery.

Can I bring my own alcohol to event?
Sorry. You cannot bring your own alcohol into the event.
Can I bring a chair?
No. The performance is taking place on a sports pitch and we have to be mindful of protecting the pitch for matches taking place during the summer. Spectators are welcome to bring picnic rugs.
Can I bring a picnic?
Yes. Ticket buyers can bring a picnic, there will be large open spaces away from the stage where ticket buyers can sit.
Can I bring food in with me?
Yes. Spectators can bring their own food with them. However, spectators will not be allowed to bring in glass or sharp items such as cutlery.
Can I leave the ground and re-enter?
No. Once you have entered the ground we do not allow re-entry.
How long is the main performance?
The main performance will last for approximately 100 minutes. There will also be a 20-minute interval during the main-performance.
Can I purchase food on-site?
Yes. There are several food concession on-site during the event.
Do you take cash?
Sorry. The venue is a cashless venue.
I have taken a screenshot of my ticket but it is not scanning?
To share a ticket, you must use the Essex Cricket App. Screenshots of tickets are not guaranteed to work and could result in you being refused entry.
