Essex Cricket are delighted to announce that Essex Women’s Vice-Captain Eva Gray has signed a contract extension with the Club.
Gray, 25, has signed a two-year contract extension with Essex Cricket that will keep her at the Club until the end of the 2028 season.
The bowling all-rounder has been a key figure for Essex Women during their inaugural season as a professional outfit. Her performances throughout 2025 were rewarded with the end-of-season awards of Essex Women’s Bowler of the Year and inclusion in the Women’s PCA Team of the Year.
Claiming a total of 31 wickets across 30 matches throughout 2025, the right-arm seam bowler claimed two five-wicket hauls at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground against Warwickshire and Surrey.
On signing her new deal, Gray said: “I am really pleased to sign an extension with Essex.
“We had a tough summer as a team but there is definitely a lot of determination within the group to take what we can from this year, work hard and come back with some fresh ideas.
“It is a great group to be a part of and I am looking forward to seeing where we can go.”
