Essex Cricket can confirm the signing of Mollie Adams on a 2-week rookie contract.
Adams, a right-handed wicket-keeper batter, has been signed on a short-term deal to provide wicket-keeping cover for the remainder of the season and is available for all competitions.
The 19-year-old, Adams, is part of the Southern Vipers Academy and has also been a mainstay for Sussex Women in their Tier 2 Blast Competition in 2026. With the bat, Adams scored four half-centuries in 8 outings for the Sharks whilst claiming 1 catch and an impressive 7 stumpings behind the stumps.
On signing for Essex, Adams said: “I am really looking forward to joining Essex for these last few weeks of the season. I can’t wait to meet everyone, It’s a great opportunity and one I hope to make the most of.”
Adams will wear the number 2 shirt during her stay and goes straight into the squad for the Vitality T20 County Cup Finals Day in Manchester this Saturday.
