34-year-old Lauren Winfield-Hill was born in York and grew up with a passion for sport. She started playing cricket for Yorkshire at the age of 10. She studied at Loughborough University and got her first England call up in 2013 and was part of the team when they won the World Cup in 2017. To date she has 104 caps for England.

Lauren Winfield-Hill, nicknamed ‘Loz’, is a right-hand batter and wicket keeper. She is on loan to Essex from Yorkshire for the 2025 Vitality Blast T20 season. Loz also plays for the Oval Invincible’s in The Hundred.
