Watch Sri Lanka Women play England Women in Chelmsford

On Saturday 02 September, Sri Lanka Women’s cricket team will play in Essex for the first time as they take on England Women in a Vitality IT20 at The Cloud County Ground.

Sri Lanka, the World Number 8 ranked T20 side, are coming off the back of an outstanding performance in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup where they won half of their games.

Their hosts, England, have just completed a thrilling drawn Ashes series against Australia which, along with the Men’s Ashes series, gripped the nation.

We want to make sure all of those associated with the Festival of Cricket have access to tickets, which start at £16 for Adults and costs just £5 for Juniors.

Tickets for the match have already proved hugely popular, so secure your seats soon before they sell out.

Match Information & Timings:

The match begins at 2:30pm on Saturday 02 September, with the toss taking place half an hour earlier at 2pm. Gates will open at least an hour before the start of play.

The game consists of 20 overs per side with the 15-minute innings break due at 3:15pm and the game scheduled to finish at 5:45pm.

Ground facilities:

Essex looking forward to welcoming supporters of both teams and our aim is make spectator’s expereince as comfortable and welcoming as possible.

There is a Club Store on site where fans will be able to purchase merchandise, as well as hats and sun cream if needed. The Membership & Ticketing Office will also be open throughout the fixture where staff will be on hand to answer any questions.

Supporters who wish to pray or reflect during their visit to The Cloud County Ground can visit the faith & reflection room which is located in the Allen Ford Graham Gooch Cricket Centre.

Anne’s Pantry will be offering a varied menu at their food stalls around the ground, where they will provide traditional Sri Lankan dishes as well as catering for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free diets.

Drinks outlets will offer a range of soft and alcoholic drinks as well as teas and coffees.

Getting here:

The Cloud County ground is a 10-minute walk from Chelmsford train station, which has regular direct services from London Liverpool Street, Stratford, Romford and Shenfield.

The ground is also located a short walk from Chelmsford bus station and benefits from multiple car parks in the nearby area.
