Essex County Cricket Club Chairman John Faragher spoke to BBC Essex last week after the decision to suspend Colchester Festival.
Due to fixture scheduling and the lack of a competitive fixture at The Essex County Ground for three months, the Club took the tough decision to suspend Colchester for the year.
This is by no means the end of Colchester Cricket Festival with the decision to be reviewed going forward depending on scheduling.
