With a two-week block of Royal London One-Day Cup starting on Sunday, attentions of the squad now turn to the limited-overs format.
After an unbeaten start to life in Division One, Essex Eagles begin their One-Day Cup with the visit of Hampshire to The Cloudfm County Ground.
This fixture will be our annual Kids Go Free match with a range of child-friendly activities on offer including an after-play autograph session and ‘Kayla’ The Eagle making an appearance.
Ryan ten Doeschate is looking forward to turning his attentions to the shorter form of the game and said: “It has been an intense start to the season, and although we haven’t played particularly well we have started well results wise.
“We take that confidence into the white-ball stuff for the next two weeks. We are very ambitious in this competition and it is also a lot of fun. We welcome Hampshire to Chelmsford on Sunday and we are all looking forward to it. I know the Club are putting a lot of entertainment on for the kids off the pitch and hopefully we can bring the fireworks to entertain them on it.”
