Ryan ten Doeschate’s men now head back to Chelmsford for the final South Group match on Wednesday with a victory over Kent Spitfires guaranteeing a place in the knockout stages of the competition.
Skipper, Ryan ten Doeschate spoke after play at Saffrons to reflect on another great performance, which included a knock of 88 from Tom Westley.
Essex Eagles play the final group game of this year’s Royal London One-Day Cup on Wednesday (6 June) when rivals, Kent Spitfires come over the river for the Battle of the Bridge clash. Play begins at 2pm, under the lights at The Cloudfm County Ground and discounted tickets are on sale now in advance.
