Local cricket fans are in for a treat during late April as it’s been confirmed that the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy is coming to Essex.
The trophy will travel across the county on April 30 as part of the build-up to this summer’s competition in England and Wales.
First up, the trophy will be taken to Colchester Castle for a School’s Festival where it will be put on display for young fans throughout the morning.
Swiftly following its appearance in Colchester, the trophy will be brought to The Cloudfm County Ground where it will be showcased before the Essex Eagles take on Sussex Sharks in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
