Nick Browne has been named the DeVines Player of the Month for July, after receiving 49% of the votes, beating Matt Quinn, Ryan ten Doeschate, Simon Harmer and Cameron Delport to the award.
Browne was a huge part of the Club’s success at the start of the month, starring in the victory at Trent Bridge. The opener battled hard against a talented Nottinghamshire bowling attack to score a mammoth 163 in the first innings, which set his side up for an innings victory.
The 28-year-old will be back in County Championship action next week as Essex face Warwickshire at Edgbaston.
