Essex’s Mady Villiers has joined Oval Invincibles for the inaugural edition of The Hundred.
The 22-year-old broke into the England side in 2019 and picked up the wickets of Alyssa Healey and Ashleigh Gardner on her WT20I debut against Australia. Since then, she’s become a mainstay in the England T20 side, with her seven wickets in nine matches coming at an average of 20.42.
The Havering-born spinner also made two appearances for the Sunrisers in last season’s Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, scoring 76 runs at an average of 38, whilst taking one wicket at an economy of 4.85.
Villiers will be joined by Australia Vice-Captain Rachel Haynes at Oval Invincibles, who already boast a squad including England internationals Tash Farrant and Fran Wilson, Scotland’s Sarah Bryce and South Africa’s Dane van Niekerk.
