Dan Lawrence is heading for Pakistan after signing for Quetta Gladiators in the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League.
The 24-year-old played a vital role as Essex Eagles secured a maiden T20 title in 2019, and has been chosen as a supplementary pick by the Gladiators, after the PSL decided that each team could pick two additional supplementary players due to COVID-19 concerns.
Lawrence has made 74 T20 appearances in his career to date, averaging 27.15 with a strike rate of 140.12. He’s accumulated nine half-centuries, with his highest score of 86 coming against Middlesex at Lord’s in 2018, whilst he also has 34 T20 wickets to his name at an average of 22.30.
He’ll link up with the likes of James Vince, Jason Roy and Ben Duckett at Quetta Gladiators, with their opening game against Peshawar Zalmi scheduled to take place on January 28.
