Essex’s Mady Villiers has been named in the England Women A squad for the forthcoming white-ball tour to New Zealand.
Villiers has taken a combined 154 white-ball wickets in her career so far, 14 of which have been in international T20s at an average of 17.28, since making her Essex debut in 2013.
The Blaze captain Kirstie Gordon will lead the A side in their IT20 matches while Sunrisers’ Grace Scrivens skippers for the ODIs.
The A side, who will be led by former Durham head coach and current ECB performance batting coach Jon Lewis, will play three T20s and three 50-over matches in Queenstown, Dunedin and Nelson.
