Bedi and Dalton preview Women’s season

Ahead of Essex Women’s season-opening game against Sussex on Sunday 21 April at Felsted School, spinner Prisha Bedi and batter Cath Dalton looked ahead to the season.

The Eagles will compete on three fronts in 2024, including a defence of their London Championship trophy, in addition to taking part in the annual one-off Battle of the Bridge T20 fixture against Kent.

That match, on Wednesday 07 August at 6pm, will be one of three that will be played at The Cloud County Ground.

The Canterbury outfit will also visit in the London Championship on Friday 26 July, while the Eagles will entertain Sussex again in the same competition on Wednesday 14 August.

For now, their season begins on Sunday, and fresh from the confirmation that the Club will host a Tier One professional team from 2025, Bedi and Dalton gave their thoughts on the Sussex clash.
