Essex County Cricket Club are saddened to announce the passing of Board Member, Peter Butler, who passed on Wednesday.
Peter was a life-long supporter of Essex County Cricket Club, cricket and sport across Essex. His passion was clear to see through his on-going charity work as Chairman of Essex and Southend Sports Trust, which supported and funded sports initiatives and projects in the region.
Peter had been part of the Essex County Cricket Club Board since 2003 and was also instrumental in the creation of the Essex Boundary Club.
Our love and thoughts are with Peter’s wife, Linley, and his family at this time.
