Shane Snater has become the latest player to commit his future to the Club by signing a new two-year contract extension.
Snater, 26, will remain at Essex until at least the 2025 season following a stellar year with both the bat and ball.
The bowling all-rounder enjoyed his best season to date, taking 50 wickets for the Club across all formats and hitting four half-centuries in the LV= Insurance County Championship.
Snater was awarded his County Cap in September and concluded the campaign by picking up three accolades at the Club’s End of Season Awards, including the DeVines Men’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.
Shane Snater, said: “This season has been great for me on so many levels.
“I’ve worked hard on improving my red-ball game and this has come to fruition over the last couple of seasons. The next three years are going to be exciting for both myself and the Club, and I’m looking forward to the new season.
Head Coach, Anthony McGrath, added: “Shane’s new contract is a testament to the hard work he has put in to continually develop his game.
“He has produced a number of match-winning performances this year and the awards he picked up at the end of the season were richly deserved and showed how much he is respected by his fellow teammates.
“Shane has developed into an important player for us and he will only keep on improving over the next three years as an Essex player.”
