All-rounder Ben Allison will join Worcestershire on loan for the next two Vitality County Championship fixtures.
Allison was previously loaned to the Pears for the conclusion of the 2023 County Championship, and will now rejoin the New Road outfit for a home meeting with Surrey and a trip to Durham.
He has appeared in four Vitality Blast matches for Essex this season, and remains available for selection for upcoming shortest-format fixtures against Hampshire Hawks and Kent Spitfires before his loan begins.
Essex Head Coach, Anthony McGrath, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for Ben to get game time while not compromising on the quality of cricket he will play.
“He is still developing as a cricketer, and the most important thing for him now is simply to be playing; as such, this is a great chance for him and we look forward to seeing how he gets on.”
