Wicketkeeper-batter Adam Rossington will play in the inaugural Global Super League in Guyana for Lahore Qalandars.
Rossington, 31, will play for the Pakistan Super League outfit in the new competition that will see four other sides from leagues around the world come together in a round-robin format.
The other four will be the Vitality Blast’s Hampshire, Australian side Victoria, Rangpur Riders of the Bangladesh Premier League, and Guyana Amazon Warriors from the Caribbean Premier League.
Former Essex bowler Darren Gough will be Rossington’s head coach during the tournament, which begins tonight at 11:00pm GMT, with the Qalandars taking on the Warriors.
The Qalandars will then play Hampshire and Victoria throughout the next week, before finishing their group stage assignments against the Riders on 05 December, with all games starting at 11:00pm GMT.
All matches will be played at Guyana National Stadium in Providence, and the final, between the top two-ranked sides, will then take place at the same time on Saturday 07 December.
