We are days away from celebrating the anniversary of Essex’s most memorable batting displays.
On 24 June 2008, Graham Napier struck a world record 152 not out, which included 16 sixes against Sussex Sharks in a T20 match at Chelmsford.
On Monday evening for the Vitality Blast match against Somerset, the Club welcomed back one of their own to relive Napes’ time at the Club. It will be 15 years this year since that special night and one that will live long in the memory for everyone associated with the Club.
Graham Napier was given a heroes welcome onto the pitch the interval as he spoke about his time at Essex and the special times he enjoyed during a long and illustrious career in cricket.
